Meet Jason, Massachusetts Bat Removal Extraordinaire

How long have you been with Get Bats Out?

• My first job was in Reston, VA in October of 2016.

What areas do you service?

• Mostly Connecticut and Massachusetts, though I do occasionally work in New York.

Where are you from originally?

• I was born and raised in southern Maryland. I moved away when I was 24.

Any fun bat job stories?

• We had quite a bit of fun on the job in Reston, VA. Watching some of the guys on the 48 foot ladder was impressive. We also were tasked with removing a couple paper wasp nests that were too high for maintenance. That was interesting!

Do you speak any other languages?

• I am fluent in Spanish and American Sign Language.

What was the last good book you read?

• I don’t read many books other than the Bible. I’m currently in the beginning of 2 Chronicles covering the history of David and Solomon.

What values are important to you?

• Working hard but living a simple life so I can do the things I love most like spending time with my family and neighbors.

What’s one thing you have learned from a client?

• I’d say I’ve learned that people appreciate and respond to sincerity and respect.

How did you get started with Get Bats Out?

• I am friends with Brian Conn. He is the regional manager for the Northeast. He called and said they needed help on a specific project. The rest is history.

What is your favorite thing about bat work/Get Bats Out?

• I’m learning more about animals, different from what I normally do, and it’s all on a flexible schedule.

What is your favorite thing about your hometown?

• It’s quiet, people are respectful, and the  economy is stable. But I still wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the congregation I attend. So I’d have to say it’s my favorite thing and the reason I’m here.

What keeps you motivated?

• Wanting to provide for my wife and help those in need.
